January 30, Salinas – Alan found us this beautiful view, not far from where we live. As he drove up and up the steep hill, I felt almost like I was on top of the world. The sun was bright, the air was still and it was so quiet except for the occassional call of a hawk. That sound always makes me feel just a bit lonely, but then I looked over at the bees busily pollinating the mustard flowers next to me and felt instantly happy again. Acrylic on wood panel.
